JOHN CLARK superintendent elect of Baytown schools is expected in Baytown Monday and may attend Monday night’s school board meeting though not confirmed. Clark takes over Friday and trustees meet at 7 30 p.m. Monday.

President Nixon faced two security scares on arrival in rain soaked Bangkok as a man hurled an object at him and King Bhumibol and another officer on leave carried a pistol. Both arrests followed, the latter released after questioning. Nixon pressed on with open air ceremonies and cordial greetings despite the weather and guards.

Harris County Commissioners Court voted unanimously to support Amendment No. in the August 5 election. Keith Eckhardt, aide to Congressman Bob Eckhardt, spoke to back the amendment on the court's behalf.
A five party partnership named Barcelona Enterprises forms in Baytown to develop Barcelona Village on Ward Road Beaumont Street near Highway 146.
