Veteran Chambers judge ends 40 year service by not seeking reelection
Carroll Wilburn Jr. of the 344th District Court announces Tuesday he will not run again, effective when his current term ends December 31, 2012. At 65, he leaves a four-decade public service career in Chambers County after a long line of court work including domestic, criminal and civil cases. He says the move will give potential successors time to campaign as he departs a judge’s seat.
