Channelview residents who missed the Sabin oral vaccine last Sunday are urged to receive it this Sunday July 28 between noon and 6 pm at De Zavala School 409 Euclid Channelview. About 6 461 people nearly half the town were vaccinated last Sunday and polio cases have been reported in the last five years including the death of coach Ronnie Burk. The Sabin vaccine immunizes within 10 to 14 days against the three polio types, Type One being the initial one in the current series.

Chairman McClellan said he could not obtain clearance and would seek an afternoon session to finish questioning former Estes aide Glenn R. Blake who denied 1961 cotton allotment dealings were secret side deals.
A new savings plan for parking tickets offers a two hour window to pay and stamp the ticket at the Corporation Court building to receive a reduced fine. The time clock will be installed and tickets stamped before the chute into the court building. The plan likely goes into effect after ticket printing and clock installation.
