The First Bible on Moon and Rev Stout’s Incredible Life
A Texas native born in 1923 and NASA scientist turned Presbyterian pastor, Rev John Maxwell Stout led a life weaving football at Texas A&M, space tracking for Gemini and Apollo, Brazilian missions, and a push to plant a Bible on the moon. He and his wife Helen helped form the Apollo Prayer League to honor Ed White and counter anti prayer efforts, linking to presidents and NASA in a sweeping, real life biographical arc.
