Colbert Rosenwald School Museum Preserves Legacy
The Colbert School in Dayton, a Rosenwald School tied to Booker T. Washington and Julius Rosenwald, is being restored as a museum. Alumni-led Colbert-Rosenwald Corp earned 501c3 status, received grants, and now run free tours on select Saturdays to raise funds and awareness. The museum, at 231 South Colbert Street, invites donations and calls Jo Ann Paul or Brenda Trahan for information.
