Appeals panel weighs Enron case to mold first trial
In Brenham Texas a small shareholders suit against Andersen and three ex Enron executives plus five ex Andersen auditors may delay its November 2003 trial if the appeals court requires adding banks and brokerages as defendants. Plaintiffs argue the nine named defendants avoid complicating the case while Andersen seeks broader inclusion. The matter centers on Enrons collapse and Andersen accounting role with the judge previously delaying the trial to gather expert testimony.
