Too-Tight Hug Triggers German Court Case

In FRANKFURT FRG, a 14 year old printer Kamper was sentenced after a court found a hug caused a death. The judge reduced charges to negligent homicide as a reflex-like death. Kamper received 21 months in prison for the incident involving Gisela Dinger during discussions of their broken engagement. The case parallels a WWII tale of a lieutenant who reportedly broke a girlfriend’s neck in a hug.
