He noted current response distances exceed a mile and a half to the expanding northeast area and Fair Park, with 517 buildings now and over 1 000 homes projected in the zone. Estimated building cost 15099 dollars and first year operating 33780 dollars, plus ongoing 12480 dollars annually, plus 49980 dollars for North Main station and 12480 dollars yearly. Equipment would be transferred from Station No 3 to North Main and a new 3 1 2 thousand gallon pumper purchased for uptown warehouse.
