Crosby school trustees told the State Commission on Accreditation they oppose TEA’s recommendation to drop the district’s accreditation. The group hoped a bond election would bolster their case, but a $32.2 million ballot failed by 32 votes, the fourth defeat in two years, with 1,214 voters. Trustees stated they will cite the district’s credible education efforts to against loss of accreditation.

Commercial dirt haulers in County Commissioner W. V. Ramsey's precinct 2 have agreed to follow county rules on road damage from hauling. Ramsey and County Engineer Dick Doss met with representatives of several dirt supply companies to review the policy, which requires haulers to contact the engineer to assess potential damage and post a bond to cover repairs, with county labor provided to repair as needed.
