Universal health insurance proposal sparks debate by Dr Gott
Dr Gott argues for a shared federal role in health coverage with a $2000 out of pocket limit per year then private insurance to $5000 before government coverage kicks in. He compares Japan NHS and Canadian waiting times, notes welfare gaps, currency of premiums, and calls for liability limits to curb rising insurer costs. He cites Japan Canada and 40 nations with universal schemes and mentions his books.
