Coin Leads Divers to Sunken Treasure Mystery
London AP report says navy divers found a 1704 gold coin off Scillo wreck possibly guiding to the sunken Association flagship. The 1707 loss of Admiral Sir Cloudesley Shovell and 2,000 sailors with vast Spanish riches remains tied to the seabed as divers inspect cannons and a crested cannon bearing marks. Lt Cmdr Jack Gayton leads a three year search, hoping the cannon number proves the flagship identity.
