Vivi cious Selah Burford, living in Fort Worth, Texas, began her first novel at 18 but completed it near age 40. She then wrote five more books in a year, selling her second work about 7th century Ireland while her agent holds four other manuscripts. Burford, mother of three, describes her process as hearing the story and letting imagination flow, writing longhand and refining through reading and observation.
