Nation marks 227th birthday with museum and parades
America celebrated the 227th birthday by opening a Constitution museum in Philadelphia, marking aviation centennial and welcoming troops home from Iraq. In Dayton, President Bush praised U S troops on a flag draped stage with jets as celebrations continued nationwide.

Remember the Alamo specialty license plates debut
Native Texans and residents can memory the Alamo with a new specialty plate featuring the shrine. The Alamo plate and a San Antonio Missions plate were unveiled at a Fourth of July ceremony. Both plates cost 30 dollars extra with 22 going to sponsor groups and 7.50 to the state. after Sept. 1 they go on sale.
