Houston Man Hurt In Crash at North Second and East Adove
Police report a motorcycle driver, Richard Kenneth Gibson of Houston, suffered a serious knee injury in a collision with a pickup driven by Jean Ethridge Smith of Houston at the North Second and East Adove intersection. Gibson underwent surgery for a shattered knee cap after being treated for contusions and lacerations and was transported to Gulf Coast Hospital. County Budget Advances Amid Tax Shift and Revaluation

Funeral services held for Rev James M Gordon at St Mark's
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St Mark's Methodist Church for Rev. James Marshall Gordon of 104 Fleetwood. He was born January 24, 1879 in Greenville, DL and moved to Baytown. He served as pastor of St Mark's until 1955. Interment was in Forest Park Cemetery, Houston. Survived by Lena Mae Gordon of Baytown, three sons Frank N Gordon of Fairbanks, Joe Gordon of Lubbock, Ted McCall of Baytown, one Slaughter, two daughters Mary Jo Nes of Houston, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
