Sewage disposal plant tested in Highlands district
A new sewage disposal plant in Harris County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 began operational tests. Built by Farnsworth and Charbars Construction Co. at about 127000 dollars funded by bond money, the facility serves Highlands with capacity for about 5000 persons and includes a gathering system, digestion tanks, filters, and a chlorination chamber. Officials Brinson and Kelley stress the project improves health and efficiency, with future expansions anticipated as population grows.
