Mother arrested in Winnie death case grows to two arrests
Lawyers say 2 year old girl from Winnie died from injuries in various healing stages after an emergency call to 200 block West Elm. The mother Jennifer Lynn Poole faces a first degree injury to a child by omission charge while step father Kristopher James Redd, 23, is jailed on capital murder charges. Autopsy by Jefferson County medical examiner confirmed internal and external injuries. Sheriff’s deputies and district attorney attended the autopsy as investigators piece together events in Chambers County. Efforts to revive the child at hospital were unsuccessful.
