Naples dispatch reports seven sailors died in a fire aboard the U S aircraft carrier Saratoga at sea. Navy officers in Naples said the blaze occurred today as the ship headed toward Athens in the eastern Mediterranean.
Local unions and civic groups announce meetings this week with topics spanning contract talks at Humble Oil, Baytown School Board planning, and a Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary session.
