Fans accuse Lumberton crowd of slurs fueling high school brawl
At a Tuesday Lumberton game in Lumberton Texas, Michelle Lewis, a parent from Robert E. Lee High School, said Lumberton students taunted Lee players with N words behind the Gander bench, prompting a fourth quarter melee lasting under a minute. Two fans, one from Lumberton and one from Lee, were banned from future games. A Lee player sustained a jaw injury in the first half. police backup was requested as the incident escalated. Goose Creek CISD promised updates on the fight.
