Police report a Friday evening hit and run on West Lynchburg Cedar Bayou Road at the Baytown Central Boulevard intersection. The victim could not obtain the fleeing vehicle’s license plate, and the suspect remains at large over the weekend.
Between Wednesday and Thursday multiple burglaries occurred at a car wash on Massey Tompkins Road where coin operated machines were affected. A large television was taken from a residence on W Gulf Avenue. Additional thefts and damage occurred at Allenbrook Drive and Garth Road. Malls reported stolen side mirrors. Baytown police logged 34 offense reports Friday into Saturday, including three assaults, two auto thefts, three burglaries of motor vehicles, one DWI and six thefts, with 14 other arrests and injury crash reports.

Police traced a three man copper theft crew who hit homes and an oilfield wiring site across October and November. Suspect Fain and two accomplices were found with cut copper and aluminum wiring, tools, and a spool, tying to a nearby crime scene. Higgins and Cook, both Houstonians, were arrested on suspicions of barbed wire theft.
