Landry and Shula Different Men Yet Same Drive
The Dallas coach Tom Landry and Miami mentor Don Shula are unlike in appearance and temperament yet share disciplined coaching styles. Landry, tall and mild, is seen as a methodical, almost clerical figure while Shula, muscular and forceful, inspires with a tough, Knute Rockne style. Both prize organization, detail, and hard work ahead of the Super Bowl.
