Esso unveils nitrogen oxide cutting catalyst
Esso Research and Engineering Co. publicized details of an experimental catalyst that could cut test cars nitrogen oxide emissions by about 90 percent. Dr Leonard Bernstein described its promise and remaining problems before the SAE winter meeting. The catalyst uses Monel, a nickel copper alloy.
