Baylor’s Search For New Head Coach Renewed
Waco Jan 14 The Baylor University hunt for a football coach was renewed as Simmy Baugh, the top candidate, withdrew to stay with the Washington Redskins. Bob Woodruff’s resignation left Baylor with many applicants and a push to promote Frank Broyles, with other names like Stan Lambert, Wes Bradshaw, Rusty Russell and Ray Morrison discussed. Marshall indicated Baugh recommended Dick Todd for the job, though Todd would be an unlikely choice.
