Great Warrant Roundup targets delinquent crooks
Baytown officials join over 300 Texas law enforcements in the 2015 Great Texas Warrant Roundup. Three amnesty days Feb 27 March 6 and March 13 run 9 am to 3 pm at Baytown Municipal Court 3120 North Main Street. Defendants with warrants may speak with a marshal and may pay fines by cash money order or credit card. those arrested for outstanding warrants unless a bond is posted or case disposed.

Neighbor Chases Burglary Suspect Near East Foyle Area
Rafael Zepeda, a 15 year neighbor, spotted a burglar fleeing on a bike after seeing an open door and a misplaced bicycle. He tackled the suspect in a convenience store lot and held him for Baytown police. Seth Carlile, 23, was arrested with stolen jewelry electronics and neighbor’s prescription meds found on him.

Five Arrested in Mont Belvieu Underage Alcohol Sting
Mont Belvieu Police and Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission agents conducted an operation resulting in five arrests for sale of alcohol to minors. Five clerks or bartenders were charged, jailed, and later sent to Chambers County Jail. Locations cited include Thrif-Tee Food Center, Liquor Hut No. 2, Iguana Joe’s, El Hacendado Taqueria, and Chevron Travel Plaza.

Houston burglar gets max sentence in county case
Houston man Tomi Terrell Ruffins, 24, was sentenced to 10 years for organized crime and 2 years for burglary, to run concurrently, for a Dollar General burglary in Mont Belvieu. He pled guilty to burglary of a building and engaging in organized crime from Sept. 23, 2013, alongside three co‑defendants.
