Crosby Cougars seek bigger output against Connally in playoff clash
Crosby aims to improve after a 39-30 bi district victory over Indians as Edwin Egans leads a 28-6 team into a Region III-4A quarterfinal at College Station High School against Pflugerville Connally. Connally, 23-7, cruised past Huntsville 65-32 behind Joseph Mitchell 19 points and nine made threes, while Crosby's T.J. Stewart Jakeith Williams and Raelon Singleton pace a balanced attack. Darius Jones, a 6-6 transfer from Channelview, adds size and defense as Crosby eyes a higher tempo and a deep playoff run.
