Baytown Bank Robbery Suspect Surrenders in Lobby
Donald Wayne Stokes, 59, waited in Amegy Bank lobby at 1300 Rollingbrook Dr after handing the teller a note that said This is a robbery. He claimed debt to society and handed back about $2,000 taken during the incident. Police arrived and he surrendered without displaying a weapon. The bank closed for nearly an hour during the investigation.
