New Facts Are Out In Rail Spur Fight
US District Judge Joe Ingraham met Friday to review an appellate Florida ruling in the Baytown rail spur dispute. Southern Pacific seeks to block Wissouri from building a spur from Baytown to the US Steel mill site in Chambers County. A new hearing is set for 9:30 am to hear further arguments in light of the Florida decision. The Missouri Pacific case remains before the 8th Circuit in New Orleans with arguments to be heard April 28.

Green Beret Sgt Ken Hargrave Killed in Vietnam
Sgt Ken Hargrave a Barbers Hill graduate and Green Beret was killed in action in Vietnam. He served seven years in the Army and was with the Rangers at the time of his death. Survived by parents Marie LaFour and Sem Hargrave sisters and brothers live in Anahuac Baytown and Mont Belvieu. Body to be flown to Lawson Oklahoma arrival time not yet known.
