Baytown approves ULDC changes for drilling overlay district
Baytown council approved amendments to the ULDC and Chapter 62 after lengthy discussion. A proposed drilling overlay map will go to planning and zoning for hearings before city council finalizes it. The map sets setback distances and may exclude Evergreen Fairways and two commercial areas from drilling restrictions. Foothills Resources supports the plan, eyeing nearly 90 million dollars for vertical drilling and 3-D seismic imaging.
