Ramsey Agrees To Improve Baker Road
County Commissioner W Y Ramsey of Precinct 2 will oversee Baker Road improvements costing 172000. The plan, included in a 312.6 million city capital bond, covers six county road projects totaling about 2.3 million. Spill Blamed For Large Fish Kill Near Turtle Bayou
Efforts to mop up thousands of gallons of lube dumped by a train wreck Sunday into Turtle Bayou five miles east of the Trinity River. Officials investigated the spill as residents feared damage to Ashing spot and Anahuac's rice farm industry. About 20,000 gallons of oil were believed collected by vacuum trucks from Devers to Turtle Bayou.

Laird warns North Vietnam over pact in new clash risk
