Bachelors auction raises funds at YMCA third annual event
Baytown residents attended the YMCA Goose Creek Country Club benefit as 10 bachelors from 24 to 61 bid on dates and items in a live and silent auction. Russell Lorfing sold for 325 dollars with bids for naming rights and Astros tickets, supporting the YMCA Partners Campaign.

Two Baytown men indicted for capital murder in Vietnam veteran death
Kenneth Dollery and Hollis Buckley indicted for capital murder in the September death of Vietnam veteran Barney Ross Goodman. They allegedly drove him to an ATM, then to a creek bed near Splendora, battered him with a baseball bat, and dumped him from a Liberty County bridge. They stole between $600 and $700 from Goodman, who died after life flight transport.

A woman reported a man exposing himself at a Citgo in Baytown. a suspect description included a white male 40 to 60 with dark shaggy hair in a gold four door Toyota. Nicole Slusher and Jonathan McKnight were arrested for public intoxication after passing out at Oriental Gourmet. prior detentions for theft and Xanax possession followed. Bank bags with about 3277 dollars were stolen from Chick-fil-A at San Jacinto Mall. A blue 2006 Chevrolet truck was stolen near Chili's on I-10. A Johnston Street residence burglary netted rings and a DVD player. Building burglary on East Hunnicutt Avenue yielded a yellow Titan generator. Between Friday 6am and Saturday 6am Baytown police logged 226 calls including 11 alarms, 6 assaults, 5 burglaries, 4 thefts, and 1 sexual assault. Christopher Young and Nicholas Minix were arrested for possession of a controlled substance. In Winnie, a narcotics raid seized about 1 oz crystal meth and 5 oz marijuana. Young and Minix booked, bonds set at 7500 and 5000 respectively.
