Council to vote tonight on land development code
Baytown moves the first part of its Unified Land Development Code to a council vote this evening after years of work by a citizens committee and the Planning and Zoning Commission. The ULDC aims to guide future growth, with more zoning categories and stricter separations, but rules won’t apply until a zoning map is created, a six month process. The session includes a 5 p.m. work session and a 6:30 public hearing before the vote, plus a second public hearing on annexing about 608 acres between Garth Road and North.
