Florida rides title to top rated recruiting class
Florida captured the national recruiting crown with a dominant class, aided by last month’s national title win over Ohio State and weak showings from Florida State and Miami. The Gators were ranked first by SuperPrep, Rivals.com, and National Blue Chips, besting USC, Tennessee, LSU, and Texas with nine of Florida’s top 16 players from home and strong picks from South Carolina, Indiana, Maryland, and New England. A Miami coaching change and FSU downturn helped Florida seal the top slot.
