Baytown officials approved Coastal Tank Lining Co. to sandblast and paint a ground storage tank on Bayway Drive near Baker Road for 13,895 dollars after two earlier bids failed bonding. The council also awarded a 26,605 dollar roof contract for the Community Building and approved several traffic and infrastructure items including signal heads and a water authority contract.

Services Set Sunday For Crosby Man 110

Services for Neal Wyatt 110, oldest local resident, will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church Barrett Station with Rev. E. F. Brown officiating. Wyatt born 1667 in Morrow Louisiana, moved to Texas in 1928, survived by wife Diana Shaw and 15 children, died Wednesday in Baytown hospital. He was a deacon and longtime Barrett Station resident. He is survived by daughter Victoria Rose and two sons Joe Wyatt and Neal Wyatt Jr. Also listed are a sister and brother and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Burial in old Barrett Settlement Cemetery.
