A man entering a store on Market Street around 3 20 p m Monday faced two men with a handgun demanding money but he was unharmed. Police pursue leads. Also reported are thefts from vehicles on Garth Road and Avon Avenue with items including a GPS unit stolen.
A confrontation at a business in the 4200 block of Garth Road ended in assault after a former employee spit on a current worker when a W-2 copy was requested. Separately, a CB radio and a television were reported stolen from a truck at a hotel in the 1900 block of Interstate.
Between Monday morning and Tuesday morning Baytown police filed 38 offense reports and investigated assaults burglary of motor vehicles robbery thefts and minor crashes.
