Women Soldiers May Take Part In Combat
Washington AP reports the Army will open missile units and other combat support roles to women soldiers, potentially exposing them to hostile fire in future wars while excluding direct infantry and front line units. The change aims to expand opportunities, including posting women to the 82nd Airborne, and extends to Hawk and Hercules missile units and support outfits vital to battle zones.
