No Charges In Misuse Of Driving Certificates
Harris County Judge Vance Hebert and County District Attorney Carol Hobert resigned from office saying there would be no charges from a five year probe into the misuse of driving certificates. The investigation found certificates issued for five driving permits to individuals who had not attended Houston municipal courts or local schools. Some certificates were used for cases later dismissed or or sent to Houston municipal court or Harris County sheriff’s offices. The 75 page report by the special crimes bureau concluded no charges would be filed.
