Life or Death Issue at Honolulu a Surgeon Speaks
Dr Clarence Crafoord of Stockholm argues the brain’s life or death status decides livingness. Speaking to the International College of Surgeons in Honolulu he says it would be criminal to keep artificial devices if brain damage is irreversible. He defines a dying patient as one with no brain activity, otherwise the person remains dying or becomes a corpse.
