Sunny the dog facing cancer and gentle farewell
A Baytown Sun reader shares a long personal note about Sunny, a 12 year old Chow Sheltie mix. After a vet visit and X rays reveal cancer, the family plans comfort care and gradual goodbyes rather than euthanasia, cherishing car rides and belly rubs while preparing for the final act of care. Sunny has long been a protective, beloved companion with memories of surprising moments and loyal service.
