Santa dressed sex offender seen at Baytown McDonald’s
Baytown police responded to an anonymous call about a registered sex offender dressed as Santa at a McDonald’s at Garth Road and I 10. Norman Burbank, 54, was found in the playground area taking photos with a child. He worked at the restaurant, and records show a 1992 Ohio conviction for sexually assaulting an 11-year-old boy. He was detained for investigation, then released after investigators reviewed his documentation with the Harris County District Attorney. He was not on probation or parole and was not violating any law. The DA requested copies of the documents for review. Any background restrictions on jobs for sex offenders in Texas were explained. Further details pending.
