Students explore regional careers at JA Inspire event

About 3,000 eighth graders from Goose Creek Barbers Hill Crosby Hardin Liberty Dayton Hull-Daisetta East Chambers and Anahuac ISDs visited Lee College for JA Inspire. Students met regional employers Chevron Phillips ExxonMobil Dow and Spectra, learned soft skills, and heard from leaders about STEM and endorsement tracks in four career areas. The event aims to help students choose high school paths before House Bill 5 mandates endorsements.

Abbott orders Texas Guard to stay at border again

Burglary Reported On Interstate 10 Block 4000

A burglary of a vehicle occurred in the 4000 block of Interstate 10 on Friday night. A purse valued at $4,600 containing belongings was stolen.

Burglary Reported on Ward Road Along With Theft

A burglary was reported in the 300 block of Ward Road with a Dewali chop saw valued at $300 stolen. A man was arrested for shoplifting in the 5000 block of San Jacinto Mall Place after attempting to steal about $90 worth of items.
