City revenue sharing funds outlined for budget needs
City Manager Fritz Lanham described last year’s bare bones budget and this year’s plan, highlighting 323000 for street repairs, 100000 for sewer sliplining, 100500 for a new civil defense generator, 48000 for parks, 15500 for planning and traffic, 7087 for public safety, and 60000 for a Community Building roof. A major 481000, about 32 percent, goes to cleanup and land in the hurricane damaged Brownwood subdivision, with a note revenue sharing could fund social services if the program ends and three year authorization runs to 1986. Congress’s support remains uncertain.
