Baytown to set tax rate at 59 cents per $109 valuation

Baytown City Council plans to adopt a 59 cent property tax rate, down from current and earlier estimates, with about $10.59 million in revenue based on preliminary Harris County valuation. The meeting will also address Brownwood Ordinance repeal, park acquisition funding, water and sewer service hesitations, and floodplain regulations, in a 5 p.m. executive session before the 6:30 p.m. council session.
