Recall Threat Could End Baytown’s Longest-Serving Councilman
Scott Sheley, Baytown City Council District 2 veteran of 14 years, faces a recall petition that could yield Baytown’s first recall vote. The process requires 309 valid signatures from District 2 voters, with deadlines of 30 days to file and 20 days for verification, then a potential recall election on the next state uniform election day. If recalled, a special election would fill the seat. note recalls are limited to six months after a term begins.
