Oak Island families seek trailers as flood relief expands
Residents describe moving from flood zone housing to RVs funded by FEMA. As trailers arrive, some remain unable to access them due to prior RV purchases, while volunteers distribute heaters and aim to shelter everyone in a trailer by Christmas. Families endure small spaces with four people in one bedroom, keeping warm with help from local gifts.
