Baytown Fair Reports Profit From Second Annual Event

Baytowns second annual fair drew 42,971 guests in the first four days of November. Treasurer Dr. Ben F. Ammons reported income of 27,266.11 and disbursements of 26,336.98. He noted equipment valued at 4,101.96 should be counted as profit, stored and reusable next year. Gate receipts totaled 8,218.71 amid bad weather and closing gates for one day.

Fire Losses Held Down in Baytown This Year

Baytown fire losses for the year amount to 2785.08 dollars, down from last year. November saw seven fire alarms with four causing no loss and three causing insured losses totaling 160.82 dollars.
