Syrup Mill Ends Era as 93-Year-Old Keeps Craft Alive

Two injured in head on crash on Wade Road
A head on collision on Wade Road near the 5800 block sent two people to Memorial Hermann Hospital Life Flight transported a seven month pregnant woman and another injured person. The 17 year old driver of the Honda and the pregnant woman were among those taken after the crash. The sheriff said injuries were not life threatening. Burglaries and burglarized vehicles reported across Baytown Channelview and nearby areas with stolen tools and electronics valued at thousands.

Suspect Arrested After High Speed Chase In Cham bers County
Deputies pursued a speeding vehicle on Highway 565, the driver Bruce fled on foot after a crash near Sunnyside Drive. He was captured and found with a half pound of methamphetamine and a loaded .40 caliber handgun. Victims were treated and released from Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital. Bruce faces warrants evading arrest, possession of a controlled substance, and firearm felon charges.
