Sterling Holds Off Westgate In Tight 4A Playoff Clash
Sterling overcame early turnovers to surge ahead 56-53 late in the third, then secured the win as Thompson hit key threes and Fontenot posted a 22 point 12 rebound double double. Westgate faded with foul trouble and late free throws by Sterling. Thompson led Sterling with 23 points and six rebounds, Fontenot 22 and 12, Kincade 16, while Eaglin led Westgate with 18 points. Barbers Hill fell 61-51 to Strake Jesuit as they trailed early but fought back behind Hamlin 23 and Daniels 14.
