Baytown Christmas Parade Dazzles With 250 Floats
The City of Baytown hosts its annual Christmas parade tonight at 6 30 p m starting Market Street moving along Texas Avenue to Commerce Street under the theme Twas the Lights Before Christmas Floats including Santa Claus will be judged in multiple categories with more than 250 entries.

Baytown to Build Family Aquatics Center at Wayne Gray Complex
Baytown plans a Family Aquatics Center at the Wayne Gray Sports Complex, slated to open in May 2010. An interlocal deal funds up to 100000 for engineering and design with Kimley Horn, while the current pool remains open through 2008. the old facility will be demolished in fall 2008. Bonds approved by voters provide 10.94 million for parks with aquatics at the core, first 4 million bonds to be sold in March.

Garth Road Baptist Church plans its final service at the current site as Pastor Jim Lamb leads the congregation out of the commercial neighborhood.
