Baytown Christmas Parade Delayed and Rescheduled
Baytown canceled the 2 p.m. Christmas parade as storms loomed and thunder rumbled over the coast. Officials set a new parade time for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday after rain gauges topped four inches in some areas and a 3.75 foot high tide neared midnight. Civil Defense Chief Pletcher Hickerson noted the tide was retreating later Saturday as rain chances eased from 40 to 20 percent.
