Deputies on leave after Beach City boat repossession dispute
Fort Bend County deputies Gregory Goode and Marcelo Garcia were placed on administrative leave after homeowner Rick Powell accused them of using deputy uniforms and badges to repossess a boat over a personal loan. Powell said the off duty officers did not identify themselves or show paperwork, altering their stories when questioned.

Baytown Cedar Crossing Industrial Park Sold to TGS Cedar Port Partners
Cedar Crossing Industrial Park, among the world’s largest in Baytown, was sold this week to TGS Cedar Port Partners. Trans-Global Solutions, a major owner in TGS, will operate the railroad and expand rail capacity from 2,000 to 3,000 cars by 2018 while developing the park with Cushman & Wakefield handling the sale.

Lee College Breaks Ground on McNair Center Expansion
Lee College officials faculty staff students and community leaders gathered at the McNair Center to launch the third phase of expansion.
