Overton Crash Injures Cub Scout Troop Headed to Parade
An 82-year-old man from Troup was arraigned on reckless driving after driving around a parade barrier and hitting Troop 912 scouts in Overton, East Texas. Ten children aged 7 to 11 and two women were injured as the scouts lined up for the Christmas parade. In a separate note, Joe Richardson of Buna recovered a decades-old class ring from Lake Sam Rayburn, found in a fish caught shortly after Thanksgiving.
